The PRT-B50 series is the first product from Protrek, which continues to evolve in terms of advanced technology and design, to be equipped with a smartphone link function. Usability for hiking, camping and other outdoor activities has been improved. In addition to a small sensor that can measure direction, altitude/barometric pressure and temperature, this quad sensor has a built-in accelerometer that can measure the number of steps. The app records the calorie consumption that takes into account the elevation factor by the information on the altitude measurement + step count measurement. The app automatically records the altitude acquired by the watch and the route acquired by the GPS of the smartphone, and the altitude points acquired by manual operation are plotted on the trajectory with the route log. The current location is recorded on the app at the touch of a button on the watch, and the direction to the recorded location is displayed on the second hand and the distance to the recorded location is displayed on the LCD, making it easy to understand the relationship between your current location and the recorded location. Automatic time correction is possible around the world by simplifying various settings using a smartphone. In addition, when the smartphone acquires altitude information by GPS at a fixed time, it automatically corrects the altimeter. Furthermore, the latitude and longitude information acquired by the smartphone when connected is sent to the clock and the sunrise/sunset time of the location is calculated. You can also turn on/off the mode and switch the display on the app. Depending on the application, you can use only the necessary functions, change the order of the display, and enjoy the gear to improve usability by customizing it to your liking. The lightweight, strong, fiberglass-filled, fine-resin back cover is wrapped around the foot of the can. The finishes reinforce the robustness of the case, along with button guards that prevent the buttons from malfunctioning in the strenuous conditions of the outdoor scene. The wide dial combined with the design's signature large rotating bezel has Arabic numerals for high legibility. The fan-shaped bearing indicator, which indicates the direction of travel, is made of metal parts and accentuated with the colors of the outdoors, for a sporty design. PRT-B50FE comes with a cloth replacement band that can be worn over clothing to enhance usability in a wide range of outdoor activities. The PRT-B50 can be used in a wide range of outdoor activities as well as in a variety of other fields by connecting to a smartphone via Bluetooth® communication, increasing user benefits and customizing its usability to meet individual needs. Mobile link function (Bluetooth® communication with compatible mobile phones)
This function allows the needle to be temporarily removed from the LCD display when the needle overlaps the LCD display and is difficult to see.
This feature allows you to measure 16 azimuths and azimuth angles (0 to 359 degrees), continuous azimuth measurement (60 seconds), magnetic declination correction, magnetic declination correction, and azimuth correction (2-point correction, figure-8 correction, and automatic correction).
Barometric pressure measurement (260 to 1,100 hPa), barometric pressure trend graph (displays the past 20 or 56 hours), barometric pressure difference indicator (±10 hPa), barometric pressure trend information alarm (arrows and audible alarms for characteristic pressure changes).
